I even got to meet Karen after one of their shows. At the time that I met her, I was going to college, and one of my classmates was also named Karen Carpenter, and she sang as well. So I told Karen that I had this classmate who was a talented singer, and her name was Karen Carpenter. Karen got a kick out of that and said something along the lines of, "Nice name!"

i really appreciate wdiong. i think, carpenters have univesal apeal irrespective of age, gender and geography. my 4 year old niece is just crazy about 'top of the world', isn't it unbelievable, instead of N furtyado, beyonce, Jlo, she is inclined to carpenters!! thanx a lot keep sharing
