I signed up at this site a while back and actually forgot about it.
I just logged back in and am a little confused with everything.
I have heard that you get paid for posting or commenting. Is this true?
I don't see where it shows how much money you make and I don't see a place for you to cash out.
Have I been given the wrong information.

Welcome to mylot. It is a site for discussion. You do not get paid for your posts. You could discuss here general topics of interest and others users will respond.
