The shower is finally fixed!

We have three bathrooms in this house. The one we use the most finally collapsed. Not the entire bathroom, mind, just the floor around the shower. We were all afraid to use it after that. I didn't even go in there but to get the things I needed. So for the past month I have been washing my hair in the sink and "showering" in the sink as well. It's been horrid and I've hated it, but whatever to keep myself clean. We've been fixing the shower we haven't used in years. It only needed the tiles placed back on it. Well we got that done and now the shower is able to be used again. I, of course, was the first one to use it.

Bathrooms are an expensive proposition. I remember when i had my bathroom redone, it cost thousands. Granted I have to have it completely gutted. But it was awesome when it was done.

The floor has collapsed around the shower in one of the bathrooms. Water damage there which means that supporting floor joists and the such would need to be replaced. The bathroom we are using now (because we fixed the tiling - small project) is the original master bath. Small shower stall with no real place to put our hygiene products but atleast it works now. I imagine that repairing the flooring in the other bath would cost a pretty penny as well. We haven't bothered to get an estimate for it yet.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Well, take your time and be careful. There are lots of contractors out there that will take advantage.
