Anti abortion politicians can't have it both ways!

What I don't understand is how so many politicans are so gung-ho about outlawing abortion yet continually want to cut funding for important things like pre-natal care; child care; food assistance; medical care; primary and secondary education and also cut funding for college education. Funding these services would be far more important with an alarmingly increased numbers of births that outlawing abortions would cause. I would have hoped that these anti abortion politicians have stopped long enough to realize the implications of outlawing abortions. They are trying to have their way on both sides. If they succeed, it will, as always, be the children who will suffer. These pompous, self righteous morons are pushing their personal agendas on everyone without caring about the consequences of doing so. What a bunch of hypocrites!

When political discourses are full of contradictions, it is good to point them . Outlawing abortion is no more a topical subject here, and I am surprised to see more and more laws restricting it in a country supposed to defend liberties of individuals. I am catholic, but I don't follow my church when it comes to liberties. You are insisting on the cost it would have for a state. I am not sure it would be very important (how many women are aborting ? 3/1000 ? 5/1000 ?), but it would be for sure a step backward for women rights.

Also, many of the same people that want to ban abortions also want to make it so that women cannot use birth control, which is most definitely a violation of women's rights.

@purplealabaster I did not knew about banning birth control. It looks surrealistic in the 21st century .

@topffer Some of our government representatives have archaic thinking. They want things to go back to the outdated thinking from earlier times.
