My sister has moved out on her own for the first time ever. It is the first she has gotten to choose furniture. I will tell you that I want my furniture to be real wood. Not particle board, not laminate. I gladly will buy second hand furniture if it is real wood rather than getting the alternative. My sister and I are not alike. She calls my antique barrister book case, that is made of oak, a piece of junk. It is not, at least the big one is not. The smaller one is in pieces and needs TLC so it may be junk. To my mind the particle board four drawer chest Wal Mart assembled and chipped and I scratched is nothing more than trash. If you are choosing "new to you" furniture, what do you choose.
