I've been back for a better part of an hour now! If you're back too and I know you, let me know! In just a short amount of time I've nearly made a penny! Another hour or so, who knows? Maybe I'll be up to 2 cents! *does happy dance*
Where's the pencil thing where we pick the best response? Where do I find the smilies? And... it's likely I'm lost! I can't remember mylot pages being so plain and ... plain! Can you?

I didn't miss you. Those tears on my pillow are just night time dribble. My poor body, wracked with the fitful convulsions of a man bereft of the Stormy one may now recover. But it might be too late. I'll be brave though and pray that my equilibrium might equalise now that the girl of my dream has returned; to STAY I hope. Love you and have missed you like a thing that misses a doodjamaflip.

Welcome back!
"Best Response" was done away with in May 2013, when the entire 'look' of the site was changed. Instead, we just have 'likes' (and no 'dislikes'), so the entire community can contribute to making a response 'best' (we just can't see how many 'likes' a response has earned).
Everyone can now add 'smilies', no matter how new they are (you used to have to earn the privilege by reaching a post count of 200). Underneath every text entry box you will see 'myLot Code' and that's where they are. Once you are adept at it, you can actually type them by putting:
[ em ] happy [ /em ], which shows up as 
(don't forget the closing forward slash!)
for example (without the spaces I had to put in here to show the code) I also made the text bold by typing the appropriate opening and closing codes.
What else is new? Well, quite a lot (and you seem to have found your way around the essentials). My short guide (which now needs some editing) may help you further: .

I was so happy when you posted your hellos last night i laughed and almost wanted to stay awake but had to sleep for some odd reason..so sorry to hear you have gone through some things family wise, but you need us as we need you, so welcome back and if you get lost maybe you will find that brownie i hid for you last time!

Where do you find the smiles, you ask? When it takes two months to finally clear a whole 25 cents, the smile will finally come... Well, not a smile, but a grin... Well, not quite a grin, but a smirk at least.
