A new study states that women who are mostly confident about their skills on child care, are very much likely to slow down the father's participation in their child’s care. I think, it not good for the child’s development.

I suppose that might happen sometimes, but I do not think that is true for most people. Perhaps the fathers might not be as comfortable or confident, so they might just let the mothers do most of the child care as the mothers are faster and more competent. However, most mothers that I know encourage fathers to participate in all aspects of their children's lives, which goes against what this study is suggesting.
