Oh no!!! I'm Being Followed!

Yes, it's true! I'm being followed. I have these people following me everywhere. I have people "following" me here on MyLot, I have people "following" me over at Twitter, and yes, I have people "following" me at Facebook. What is a person to do? (smirks)
Okay tongue and cheek here. What I can't figure out are the "followers" over at Facebook. I'm talking about people who follow you who are NOT even friends, and just what are they seeing anyway? Unless a person has everything on their profile set to public at FB, which I don't, non-friends who follow aren't going to see much. Uh, so could someone tell me why these people are "following" me? 
How about you folks? Do you have a lot of people "following" you? Almost sounds like one has "stalkers" or something.

Well Pyewacket, I have been away from here for so long this is all new to me and I don't have a Facebook account so I don't know about followers. I have so much to learn. LOL

I do0n't have all that mamy friends on Facebook, but here I have close to 400, and they are all following me, but i don't mind, as i do enjoy communicaing with others by way of discussions, and being able to help them out as well. After all, that is what mylot is all about anyway. i really wouldn't want it any other way. Take care, and have a great day.

Hey there! I guess everyone is coming back to mylot, and if they are paying I want to join the fun. Especially since the fun at "B" has started to ebb. I do have some people follow me on Facebook, and for the life of me I don't know who they are or why they are following me.

Like some said, "followers" are a good thing as they're really interested in what you post; if you own a business or love the marketing life, they're awesome.
English is not my first language, does "follower" sound too bad? 
I would get it in the "prophet VS follower way", not really as "stalker".
We don't translate "follower" in our language, it's a "technical" word, maybe you need some weird word too for that "kind of online people", eh?

I hate being followed by strangers of FB. I have stopped interacting there because of these weirdos. You are right.. it does feel like you are being stalked.. someone has tried to break my password thrice now.. I am seriously planning on deleting my account.

Yep. I have followers too. I even have a business type page on facebook with even more followers. So,Friends on FB 3191, Followers on my personal FB page (in addition to friends 63), On my business page I have 1710 likes -594 which are also my friends which is an additional 1116 people.
Here on mylot it says I have 838 followers. Although I am sure some of those are LOOONG gone.
On Pinterest I have over 3,600 followers (exact number unknown.. they round off).
On Wanelo, I have 366 followers
On Twitter I have 1586.
On Zazzle I have 670 people who have liked my page and
on Society 6 I have 944 followers.
Some of these people on Zazzle and S6 are also friends on FB, Twitter and Pinterest.. so these numbers are not going to be 100% accurate.
Holy cow.. I almost feel popular!
But yeah, now that you mention it.. I do feel like I am being stalked!

Look how I returned when I found out they're paying here again, haha. I don't know if I even have the follow button on Facebook,myself. I don't think so. I wonder that too. Why follow someone who does not want to be your friend? Ask them and see what they come up with..

Some people seem to think that you have to have the most friends on these social sites. You don't have to know the person or have anything in common with them. The numbers seem to be what is important to them. It's like an addiction or something.

okay, this is an interested topic.
i don't really have follows in facebook or twitter or else net social.maybe i am not well about that.
people follows you means you have interested and excitited stuff, they want it and would like to make friends with you, haha
