This is perhaps one of the most accepted truths out there. And I also agree. People realize by the end of their journey that the journey itself made the destination even better. Most of the memories we make were made from the journey itself. The long drive joking with friends, bumping into someone you haven't seen in years on a gas station while you were filling up, or giving something to eat to a child knocking on your car window while waiting for the green light on an intersection. But as I've been travelling a lot lately, I came to realize a deeper truth about that famous quotation. The journey to the destination was fun. The destination was great. But what comes after that? Most people would stop thinking about whats next upon reaching the destination and enjoying the journey. They would bask on the glory of being able to be there after a long journey that looked like its endless. Don't get me wrong, I do too. Who wouldn't be happy actually seeing something you only see in books when you were young? Who wouldn't be overjoyed to be in a place so beautiful you thought only exists in fairytales? But wouldn't it be better to receive a call from home, with the folks telling you to take care while looking across a steep valley appreciating the view? Wouldn't it be heart-warming to receive an SMS from someone who rarely sends you one with the words 'Have a safe trip!'? And wouldn't it be happier when someone texts you to come home safely after the journey and the destination? The realization. Its not all about the journey. It isnt all about the destination either. It is also about the people who are waiting for you to come back. The people who will be there to greet you with smiles and warm hugs saying.. 'Welcome home!' 'Life isn't only about the journey nor the destination. It's all about the people who will be there waiting for you when you come home.'

very true, it is all of those things...Planning ,The journey, the destination and the experience and of course people you may have left behind or people who are with you and experiencing it with you. When you have a loved one with you the experience is two fold because you share everything ..
