If you had to pick one meal to eat forever what would you choose?

Not that it would ever happen. We are pretty spoiled with all our options. But in a pretend world if you had to choose one meal to eat forever, what would your choice be? Three meals a day this meal would show up so you better love it. I think I would choose chicken stir fry over brown rice. I like that it has a lot of diffent parts to it. If you are craving meat its there, veggies are there too. If you are looking for simple then you can just enjoy the rice. Am I cheating at my own game? What would you choose?

I would have to say a grilled chicken salad with raisins, romaine lettuce, bell peppers, cucumbers, pineapples, croutons, bacon bits, shredded cheese and ranch dressing. Lots of nutrients from the lettuce, peppers and cucumbers. Plenty of vitamin C from the pineapples, protein from the chicken and the cheese and the croutons, bacon bits and dressing would be for more flavor.

I do love that meal as well. We often eat it wrapped in romaine leaves like a little healthy burrito. I just ate and this post is making me hungry.

Your food is so much healthier than what I picked. LOL Sounds so delicious. I really need to skip food questions until after I have eaten.

Wow, this discussion got me soooo hungry! I think I would have to go with spaghetti and meat balls, with grated Romano Cheese, Garlic Bread and some green and black olives on the side. Oh, I need to go now and hit the fridge.

Or spaghetti with browned butter and mizithra cheese. Have you ever tried that? Its such a different take on the standard spaghetti. Or browned butter and red sauce. I think I might just love browned butter.

There is a dish called Rasam in South India. We can drink like soup, we can mix with white rice with ghee and it is very good for health as it contains pepper, cumin etc., that are good for digestion. I will select Rasam rice to eat forever.

After long time I am once again responding to your response. How is life going on I think you have changed the avatar. Yes you right rasam can also be sip like soup if any rasam left over in the night can be sipped as soup in the night. I do not wish to waste any food product.

Hey, that is what I had for lunch today. Great choice. I also had fried pickles with it which I think are a little piece of heaven.

Please allow at least two meals instead of one. Having a single meal will be bit harsh. . I would like to have vegetarian meal of a bowl of Lentils (Dal), one gravy dish, one mixed vegetables dry dish, a bowl of curd, some green salad and 3 Chapatis and a bowl of rice. It will be suffice as lunch, besides a regular breakfast of cheese sandwich.

Mmm. Lentils are one of my simple favorites. I love a simple lentil soup with a random meat and some mixed veggies.

I never like to take meal every time, my choice is different. I do not wish to take the same type of meal every time. Instead of meals I like to take fast foods like Dosa, Poori, Chapathi and Parota if it is must then I go for south Indian meal always.

We eat fast food way too much here. I wish I had more simple meals prepared here. I cook almost all our meals from scratch. Often I'm tired and we just eat fruit.

I don't think I can live in forever with only one meal or food.. No one can after somedays you will get frustrated even if it's your favourite food..

Forever?? ahmm I think I should a club house sandwich so I can eat one type of sandwich over the other. LOL. can I request for bottomless ice tea too?
• United States
16 Aug 15
Yes! Sitting on a beach somewhere with a great club sandwich and a bottomless glass of ice tea. Sounds peaceful. Want to hear a shocker? I have never had ice tea in my whole life. Never ever. I love warm peppermint tea but somehow I skipped over the standard ice tea entirely. I feel like I just confessed I had a second head or something. Am I still okay to be here? or does this move me into a freak category?

I think that I'm kind of cheating, but I would pick a salad but change up the toppings. Yeah, that's cheating isn't it!

lol, its probably a grey area but since we are only pretending I think it will work. It does open up the options a lot. Changing up the proteins changes the whole salad.

Pork spare ribs ae my favorite food to eat. They are so good with other side dishes that I could eat them every day.

Hmm, I cant think of the last time I had pork spare ribs. I think it was when I was camping three years ago. They were super yummy but just not something that makes it on our menu. Maybe I need to rethink that.

A nice tender roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy. That is just my thought at the moment, though. Sometimes I might say spaghetti, or tacos, or pizza. Chicken stir fry over rice is very good, too, though. (I don't think you're cheating!)

It would be a sad world for sure wouldn't it. One same meal over and over again. As I sit here now I have weeks of meals planned out. Its almost fun to put things on the menu and look forward to them. It wouldn't be very fun to write one thing over and over again.

Water

Haha, yes. Water is quite important. I would have to say if we had to choose one drink that would be the winner for sure. Wait... does Diet Coke contain enough water to offset the caffeine dehydrating effect to keep you alive on it alone? Im going to have to find a scientist to see if I want to change my option.

Lovely question, surely a lot of 'food',. for the grey matter. The gastronomic proclivities do seem to stretch things up, at times.
