Hi there all MyLot users! I'm new here (just joined tonight) and thought I would take the time to introduce myself, make some new friends, and hopefully get some answers to my questions!
To start off, my name is Stacey and starting next month, I will be a full time student in high school once again. Ever since second grade, I have had a dream of becoming a successfully published author and like to think that I am very driven to accomplish just that. (Obviously), I enjoy writing stories, poetry, and reading. I am also a Capricorn, for any Astrology lovers out there! Originally, I come from Bubblews, which is how I heard of this site. That's where all my writing and poetry is so if anyone would like to read some it, just click the link on my profile. :)
While introducing myself, it'd be incredibly helpful if someone could answer a few questions I have about beginning this site. For example, what kind of things do people post on here? I think I would like to keep Bubblews as a place for my fictional writing and this site as more of an online journal/blog... Is that something that people do? Also, about how easy/hard is it to make the required amount of money on here to cash out? Any tips or advice for this site would also be appreciated- please and thank you!

Hello Stacy. I use to be a member of Bubblews. But decided to leave because of the website not being trustworthy anymore. I created a post with my good byes. I think I only have two posts left up. It took a long time to take what I had down. Bubblews was good when it first started. To many spammers not being dealt with caused the website down fall.

@rusty2rusty talking about Bubblews it was never trustworthy to me , they cheated me i reached to 50$ or so and when i asked for payout they never reacted nor answered to my messages .

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with Bubblews! If you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you mean about the website not being trustworthy anymore? Are you talking about the website itself or the users on it? I've been using Bubblews for a while but haven't gotten to my cash out amount yet, (it takes a while to get to $50, but I'm close!), and I would hate to keep wasting my time on a website that scams people or something...

@prashu228 Bubblews always paid me on time. I never had an issue without payout. many of friends did.

Hi Stacey. I'm new here also, and am a Bubbler as well. That is where I learned about MyLot just yesterday, and thought I'd try it out too. I'm still learning my way around, but it seems pretty simple and straightforward. Looking forward to reading some of your writings both here and on Bubblews in the near future. This post tells me you are quite articulate. That impresses me, when you consider where I now live most high school students can hardly read or write. I'm exaggerating,of course. They aren't that bad, but I find very few who seemed to learn as well as I did when I was in high school, about a hundred years ago. I'm sure our paths will likely cross again either here or on Bubblews. Happy writing.

How nice to talk to a newbie like myself! I'd love to follow you on bubblews as well- my name is the same on there as it is on here (roomfortwo). Yes, I think the more I use this website, the more simpler it will become, and I will start to wonder why I ever thought it was confusing, haha. Thank you for commenting, I can't wait to read some of your writing too!

@roomfortwo Thanks, Stacy. I will be watching for other posts both here and at Bubblews. I almost quit Bubblews when they started changing radically, and for not what I thought was better. But I liked writing there, and I liked the interaction with other people who wrote. So I stuck around, sort of on the fringes for several months, occasionally writing a post, just to keep my hand in. I started becoming a little bit more ... prolific again lately. So I'll look there for your posts too, and please do the same for me. Looking forward to reading more of your posts.

@zzzgeok Of course I will do the same :) Like I think I mentioned in my discussion above, I usually use Bubblews to post my poetry and other writings, since I've gotten very positive feedback from it on the site before. I started using it last year and have only recently had enough time to start using it again, however... I have had interesting comments on this post warning me against Bubblews because of the site not paying out as promised for some people. Have you experienced this? I have not cashed out on there yet.

Hi and welcome to mylot. I have you as a friend on bubblews. I was on mylot for years then they stopped paying and i went to bubblews but now mylot is paying again. I use both as an online journal etc. I think you can pretty much do anything here just as long as you follow the rules etc. I had to reread the rules myself as I figured they changed since I haven't been here in a few years.. I hope you like it here!

Thank you! I've followed you back :) I'll have to read the rules and guidelines then so I know for sure what I can and can't do. It's very different from Bubblews, but I think I will like it just as much. Thanks again!

Welcome to myLot. There is no hard and fast rule on what you can write here. It is advisable however that you read through guidelines that you will find under the 'help' tab.

Interaction is the key, as once a discussion starts, and you get responses, then interaction begins, and it could go on and on, which would be great as all pariticpating would earn and have fun. Welcome to mylot, and have fun, and most of all participate.
