Tags play an important role here. Everyone is expected to put tags connected with tags that the OP selects but alas that is not the case. I see ridiculous tags and that results in having irrelevant posts in 'You may like this' Any way to control this?

According to rule #14 of the Mylot community guidelines: Using irrelevant tags in your discussions is a no no. Pretty sure that, applies to responses as well.

Agreed. But what happens when they do? I see so many irrelevant tags such as someone tags a response 'reply' to a topic that deals with an issue.

I do not tag often my discussion. In the previous version, many members were tagging discussions, and they were doing the job for me; but it is no more the case. As the "You may like this" is again here, I will tag my future discussions. There is no way to eliminate a tag from the system. You can remove it from the display by using your superpower : tag the discussion with 5 tags starting by a letter before the one you want to eliminate (for example if you want to eliminate "garbage tag", tag with letters a-f"). It will not be shown anymore, but it will still be active for the "You may like this"

@topfferI You need to explain this. I was talking about the community tagging their responses haphazardly rather than following the OPs tags.

@allknowing The main difficulty is to find tags relevant with the discussion. More the letter is near 'a' and more it is difficult. If it happens, I cheat a bit by using 'a ' to start : 'a discussion about tags'.

Maybe you could write a post on how to use tags effectively.. each site seems to use it differently. A little help would go a long way.
