Writing is my passion, I can write for days without end. I love to write and write poetry. I guess this has been my passion since I was about 7 years old. I write flash fiction, self-improvement articles about love and life. My passion for life shows up in my work. What does writing mean to you? Is it your passion, profession or pass time?

It all began when I located a site where one was required to ask questions and also answer questions posed by others. There was no money. but those sessions made my day. Expressing is what we all want to do. When such opportunities are not available in the real world with none sharing your interests these sites provided us that opportunity.

I wouldn't call it a passion but it is something I enjoy doing. My goal is to make someone laugh, or at least smile, at something I write.

@AbbyGreenhill Purposeful writing is a great idea. I am very serious most of the time.. I would be glad to elicit some smiles

Interesting, sometimes I take it very seriously and other times I don't. I want to come back and see what others express.

@sofssu Maybe they are hovering over the keyboard with looks of wonderment or using one hand to scratch their head?

It means getting my words out in black and white. Or maybe blue and black, depending on what pen I use. To me it's just more a pass time more than anything.

@sofssu Yes, that I have been. I think it's great to see many have a passion for it, and I do wish them the best, such as yourself. I would love to buy a book written by you, and yes, that includes your poetry, which I love (autographed of course, for your favorite Texan.. ) Oh I am having a great time.

@TexanTornadoYou've always been honest about this. Brutally honest if I may say so. I hope you are having fun here.

It is just a way to communicate with people. It is easier than doing public speeches to be honest. This is what writing means to me.

@Cristi_Ichim yes indeed it helps us express ourselves. I love to give speeches too but I love writing more.

Writing means a lot, no question about that. You cannot remain in touch with the world without it, be it as a pastime; a profession or a passion. I would like to upgrade from a dilettante to a full timer.

I like to write flash fiction and poetry, but I never write about self-improvement. I avoid all personal growth or anything that might cause it. I don't know how well any of that creative writing would work here on myLot, though.

@Rollo1 Self Improvement articles are from the professional me while Creative writing is from the child in me. I have kept them aside for now..
