What do you think of The Iraq War

I believe it was a mistake for which we and the rest of the world will pay dearly. We have left complete chaos and devastation in every country we've invaded and will be reaping what we've sown for many decades to come.

I am not sure what to think of it Marcy really. I do think that war is of course a bad thing. Since I am not up there seeing exactly what is going on, I am not sure if it was necessary or not. I know that it has caused much much suffering here in this country.

@Marcyaz Yes exactly. The poor vets are the ones that suffer becoz of helping other countries. I dont know why we have to go and help anyone anymore when and if they wont help themselves.

@TiarasOceanView I believe very strongly that our vets should come before illegals in this country as they are the ones who have suffered just by their doing their duty. Yet they do not seem to be able to get all the benefits they should and when they are denied it infuriates me.

Rose, I also believe that this war was unnecessary and look what we have ended up with now is even worse than before.

Agreed. While getting rid of Saddam Husein sounded like a good idea, the results have been both predictable and disastrous.

xfahctor, we did get rid of Saddam Husein but now look what we have in his place, this should teach us a lesson, predictable and disastrous how true that is.

We only have George Bush to thank for that debacle. He totally upset the Apple cart. What a moron. We did not have to go into Iraq. Instead we should have went to Afghanistan where Bin Laden was. Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction there at all. Bush only went in there to settle a score that the father had. And his advisors wanted to start a war. And 9/11 was the perfect excuse. It all comes down to money.

Inertia, I fully agree with everything you said and couldn't have said it better myself. Yes George Bush Jr. wanted to continue where his father left off and I am wondering who made the money from this war.

@Marcyaz No need to wonder. I think we all know who. And the other sad thing about this country is that they want us to believe that we are in debt with China. That I feel is a smoke screen. I am sure if push came to shove we could pay them back or wind up going to war. Whoever is running the country at the time.
