Well, this is not an ad for lose weight pill or any diet plan...I am sharing my own experience on how easy it is to lose weight ! 3 steps is all that it takes .. 1, Get motivated to lose or maintain weight - keep checking your weight on a daily basis which really is helpful ! 2, Drink 2 glasses of water 15 minutes before each meal 3, Keep walking all the time , when you are speaking on your mobile, and if you are browsing , every 45 minutes for 2 or 3 minutes take a walk within the room.. You do this religiously you will see the results within a week !

Nice advice! I don't really need to lose weight, but I can really use your third step. I sit too much all day long; I have to remember to force myself to get up at least every hour and move or walk around for few minutes for my own good.

Hi sishy, you are lucky ! I have a long way to go before I reach my target...But as you say, we do become couch potatoes because of the internet, so need to move every now and then for a few minutes !

@kiran8 I do all that but maybe not the water bit. I have lost a bit of weight but not as much as I would like too.. the walking has accelerated the weight loss for sure.

Yes walking really helps and you can see the result in a day or two...I lost about 6 kilos just by doing the above and being careful about eating in a matter of 8 months.I feel that there is no point in losing weight too quickly and end up looking haggard

@kiran8 Doctors would warn you against losing weight too quickly. I agree. Have you tried ginger, lemon water?

Yes allen, that's why I wanted to share because it is so easy to follow...You can add on by having music and also a pedometer , all of which motivate you further to lose more weight and keeps you on track..

You are so right Kiran. Movement is the most important factor I feel in losing those pounds. Good for you too for keeping going. I sometimes will not do what I am supposed to do because of bad sleeping pattern, I am tired in the mornings, but on the whole I do walk mostly. Keep up the good work!

Yes Tiara, activity and movement is required for us even otherwise, I feel this is relatively easy to follow and once you see that you have lost some weight , you become careful about your diet too !

Once you cultivate the habit it becomes a routine and you do it automatically

That makes sense! For sure the intake of water and exercising should help a lot - everyone should be doing that regardless of weight. Eat as much natural foods rather than processed foods - that will help greatly too!

Very true, water is absolutely essential for us so drinking water also keeps our intake in check to a certain extent and of course there is nothing like being active and on the move whenever you can !

Definitely have to stay on top of it if you want to lose weight. I am glad it is working for you. Stay moving always works the best. I hate when people say they are on a diet and try to eat as little as possible, but never exercise. That is why they never lose weight.

Yes activity is very essential, since I am one of those who loves to cook as well as eat ! lol, I try to cut down a little here and there but cannot remain hungry for a long period of time, so now eat every 3-4 hours a little something and it really works combined with the others ..

I agree, that is very essential too...I normally have no rice at night just a sandwich or some vegetables and chapatis which is more than enough...The more number of smaller meals you have the more beneficial it is since each time you burn 25% of the calories for digestion ( thats what I have read)
