Just a Newbie saying hello!

I wanted to expand a bit more about myself. I will be celebrating my 20th Leap Year birthday on Monday February 29, 2016--okay, okay I will be 80! By the way I love being old and I love living alone--a decision I made in 1984!
I have fought weight most of my life and in March 1969 I joined Weight Watchers, lost 100+ pounds, went to work for them as a lecturer then my lover at the time and I opened the Memphis/Chattanooga eastern Arkansas area. After I lost weight I got involved with Transactional Analysis--you may know it as "I'm Okay, You're Okay". Bernie & I eventually went through a very ugly 'divorce'--no same sex marriage back then. I opened an organization called "Our Weigh".
I have been writing since I was 10--won a prize (A BING CROSBY SHIRT!!) for my first essay--and haven't stopped since. I have written food columns, restaurant reviews, a weekly column in the The Weekly News and Out. I have had 8 books published, many magazine and newspaper articles.
I love theatre, eating out, writing and, yes, even at 80 sex!
I am conceited, narcissistic and I talk a lot about me. You will get to know everything about me--the good and bad, the truth--and I hope I can keep you interested enough to do that.
By the way with all that I am a very nice caring guy who is always a good friend.

Welcome to mylot. I hope that you find this site to be everything that you have been looking for. You will find everyone so friendly here, and willing to give assistance to whoever needs it. Just be sure that you participate in the discussions, as that is how we are paid in here.
