Excellent movies that not many people know about

Personally, I can name 5 movies that are relatively unknown but are really good and a lot of people would probably enjoy: Run, Lola, Run - German film. If you've watched Groundhog Day, then the premise is similar. This is just a little bit more edgy and serious. It Follows - If you love horror movies but don't really enjoy jump scares, then this movie is for you. It's a slow, dreadful, tense kind of horror movie and I don't want to spoil the plot. Heh. Confessions - Japanese film. It tells the story of a mother grieving the loss of her daughter. The shocking fact: 2 of her students (6th-graders) killed her little girl. This is pretty disturbing. Coherence - a low-budget sci-fi movie that tells the story of a group of friends dealing with some weird events after the appearance of a comet. Really cool and I highly recommend it. What We Do In Shadows - It's a horror mockumentary from New Zealand. Horror and comedy does not always work, but this one is thoroughly entertaining. A must-watch. If you have watched some relatively unknown movies and want to share them, feel free to add to this discussion. I'm a movie buff and I want to watch these kinds of movies

I have never seen any of the ones you mentioned. I have heard of run Lola run but not any of the others. Frozen ( not the disney one ) is a movie I had never heard of but ended up loving it. A horror or suspense movie about people getting stuck on a ski lift. It slow moving but before you know it you are hooked and sitting on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed it.

That sounds like a movie I would enjoy. I love movies with that "stuck" theme. Thanks for sharing :)

Well, I would highly recommend Confessions. Every time I know somebody new, I always instantly recommend that title to them.

I suggest you watch Run, Lola, Run then. It's not at all a horror movie.

@inkyuboz I have seen Run Lola Run and liked it. I'd like to see Coherence. Confessions I will skip. The Japanese make excellent movies but it sounds so sad.

Oh boy... I don't like horror movies. But maybe I'll check on Coherence to see if I'll enjoy it.
