Getting in Shape

I'm almost in my 30's. They say that it's harder to get in shape at this age bracket. I want to start going to the gym and getting fit, but I'm not sure if it would be worth the time and the effort to do so. I know, maybe I'm just making an excuse for myself, but I need to know... is it really true? Is it really harder for a person of my age to get in shape?

Nah .. not at that age.. maybe after mid forties.. But it is an individual perception.. I guess you can keep yourself fit at all ages if you really want to.

Well, I heard the metabolism slows down when one hits the age of 30. Gulp.

@inkyuboz It does but its not like it is hard to get back into shape at that age. But things get difficult as you get older past the forties and the fifties.

I'm in my 30s. I've lost weight over the past couple of years, and I started going to the gym after I'd lost 3.5 stone. I still have saggy bits but I can tell the difference when I've been to the gym/swimming regularly as I am more toned, also fitter and less tired. I think teens/20s are probably when it's easiest but you can do it later too, it might just be a little more effort.
