Disappointing earning sites

I got interested in online money making in 2008 and in the beginning I joined a lot of different sites for instance PTC sites, survey sites and discussion sites/writing sites.
Most of the PTC sites were disappointing. I got paid a few times, but most of them were scams. I remember one site where I had to click on 100 ads in order to earn one cent. If I was really active I was able to earn 6 cents a month! 
A total waste of time. Survey sites were also a waste of time. I am not from the US, Canada or the UK and I got very few surveys. It took me 6 months to earn 5 dollars.
Since 2008 I have used 5 different discussion sites or writing sites – myLot, Scavenger Cash, Size of Paper, Bubblews and Persona Paper. Scavenger Cash and Size of paper never paid me, and they don't exist anymore. I was very active on Scavenger Cash and I started many discussions, but one day the site just disappeared.
Which online earning sites have disappointed you and why?

I understand what you mean. I am also cautious when I join new sites. I don't want to invest my time in sites that suddenly disappear like that, but unfortunately it happens quite often.

@simone10 I hate when that happens. I usually cash out as soon as I can. You never know how long a site is going to last.

@Porcospino Yes, it does. This site that I went to, a lot of my friends from Bubblews were there as well. People were getting paid when all of a sudden they were gone without any word to all of us.

Yes I have dat diappointing earning site...last month I join at onlinejobsfree where in you can earn .20$ in every frnd dat you invte even though it is not big amount as what you think but for me its ok bcause I am her at the philippines when u earn dollars here it is very big amount for us..so I nvte many friends..how malas I am..I forgot my passwrd..so what I did is email them but no one response to my email...I am very embrs..but I join again here hoping dat it is real...

I haven't heard about that site, but it is very disappointing that they didn't reply to your email. I have experienced the same thing on other sites. Welcome to myLot

This realization came to me within the first 3 months of me trying to make it big online and somehow, it was in 2008 - when I got out of the bed after 8 months. There was a desperate need that I should get some money and that lured me into such stuff. 3 months was enough and I decided to do many other things that I wanted to instead of killing my time on those sites.

I have myLot mostly now and am so happy with it again.
Even when it was not earning.
I have a few sites that are good and reliable and that is really makes a difference as they never fail for years.

It is great that myLot has started paying again. Not just because of the money but because many old members have returned. It is great to be here again and it is nice to see many familiar faces.

The other sites I have is one that is allowing me to pay one bill per month..that is great to me.

Bubblews disappointed me the most because they use to be great. I could earn enough to actually call it a part time job. Then, they started paying hardly anything and people reported not getting paid and their communication with the writers became almost non existent.

I never received all of my redemptions, not even in the beginning, but I still earned well compared to other sites.The lack of communication with the writers was a big problem. I contacted them several times, but they never replied.

Sorry to hear that, How long were you a member? I got paid by Bubblews, but I never received all of my redemptions. Each time I redeemed I wondered if I was going to get paid or not.

Yes, the payments were different in the beginning. I didn't receive all of my redemptions, but it was still a lot of money compared to other sites.

I hear you! I am very disappointed with all the promises online sites give you without paying you anything. These "get paid for doing surveys" is full of crap as well.

Most of the survey sites were a waste of time. One site paid me after 6 months, and the rest of the sites didn't give me any surveys at all

The only online writing site I was really active on was Bubblews. I missed my second payment....and my final $40. Disappeared with the site.

I was also on Bubblews. I got paid many times, but I never received all of my payments. I left the site in December 2014.
