My first poem....!!!!!!!!

Today, I am feeling very nostalgic. Those little memories are so close to our heart that whenever we see a glimpse of them we automatically get into flashback.. This morning I got one such thing, a poem written by me in my schooltime for my best friend as a class activity. This was my first poem written entirely by me and thus, very close to me.
It goes like this...
The sun sets,
And the day ends.
What remains the same is my lovely friend.
She is cute and fashionable,
And loves to follow new trend.
And when it comes to me,
She is always there to stand.
She is hot-tempered like fire,
She is soothing like ice.
She could be rough as a stone,
And could be soft as a bread slice.
We fight, we care,
We love, we share.
We share a beautiful relationship,
That's all I can say to define my friend and our FRIENDSHIP....!!!!
Time goes on and we move on with it. And Bye-gones will be bye-gones... But these things make us realize that childhood , the days of innocence were the best days that gave us the memories that we will cherish all our life....

This poem speaks about your great writing skill but not only this, you expressed your genuine emotion very accurately. I am still in touch with my childhood friend and it remains special.

Very sweet and lovely poem, displaying emotions for a friend and reality of life. You seem to me a good poet. I find it difficult to write poems, though I tried a few. And hopefully, my friends liked those poems. No doubt, childhood memories/school days are priceless.

@Ishani08 - I think spontaneous poems are best. Please do not under estimate yourself, I believe you could write good poetry, of course you require some inspiration to write a poem.

No, I am not that good at poetry, even I have no idea that at that age How did I manage to write that.. It was very spontaneous, back there....
And yes , true your words, that those childhood memories are priceless.

I have not been fortunate enough to experience such a blessing.
This is a lovely sentimental poem and in honor of your relationship with that special someone.

U made my poem special by your lovely compliments.
The poem was very spontaneous at that time.. and since so many years i haven't written anything... i am not really sure whether i can write or not... but i will surely give it a try..

@soffsu its great that you are still in touch with your old frnds. And yes , of course the best part of meeting your old friends is discussing those memorable times which you shared together.. and that time, (though temporarily), makes u forget all other worries.
