Feeding the Ducks

I saw a sight this afternoon that left me smiling. I was in between appointments and sitting in my parked car in a local gardens. The sound of ducks quacking took me surprise as a crowd of them rushed past the car. A man had pulled up alongside me. He got out of his car with a brown paper bag. The ducks obviously knew him and were keen to be hand fed by him, each one receiving an individual offering of bread. This made me think about how long it has been since I last visited a park to feed the ducks. It's such a simple task and gives so much pleasure. Do you remember when you last fed the ducks?

I was surprised at how trusting they were by taking the bread from his hand. As soon as his car pulled up they rushed up to him.

I haven't seen any ducks for years, there used to be a family of them on the beach but they waddled away.

@thea09 no ducks, that's a sad state to be in. Here ducks live everywhere, wherever there's a pond or somewhere safe to swim.

How nice of the man to be doing that . I have fed some ducks maybe 3 decades ago in a zoo . It's a nice feeling to do it .

I feed the ducks every week when I go shopping for grocery. There is a river near the mall, there are plenty of ducks.

when i could drive, i'd go to a park north 'f here 'n feed the ducks. i could sit fer hours jest observin' 'em go 'bout their day 'n take hundreds 'f pics. its most relaxin' indeed.
