I've been around here participating in online sites for a long time, nearly ten years. In that time I've dipped in and out of sites, staying longer in some places than others.
I wonder if anyone here remembers Suite 101, or Triond or Knoji /Factoidz. And Wikinut of course. Most of those still exist and good luck to those who enjoy churning out articles for them.
Suite 101 had so many rules it became a burden and I left after about six months. I'm not sure, but I don't think it exists now.
Where did you make your online writing start?

That is one question which baffles me no end-where to start, as a rookie writer?

I am familiar with all those.. I quit suite101 in two weeks.. I didn't like the fuss they made and i met some snooty people there .. I had enough of it. I started off with mylot and went to hubpages. I have three accounts there.. but I hardly write there anymore..

I am familiar with Knoji /Factoidz. and Wikinut and are/were members of them. I started out on Helium and some of the early ones like eHow and such as that. I could give the guy below(Mohd.IrfanAlam) some advise on where to start writing too. I've been at it for quite a while.
