What do you think of Bill Cosby now days?

I am glad that I enjoyed Bill Cosby in the 70's. Chicken Heart and all of his great ones. I thoroughly enjoyed him and still use some of his schicks when I am trying to be funny. He has now admitted to giving Quaaludes to women. Date rape basically. I am appalled and sickened by the stories coming out now about him. Play boy mansion parties and all of that is being discussed on Dr. Phil today. It is so sad. I really thought so much of this guy.

I hardly know what to say about him honestly. I would have never suspected him of all people to do such things. It's just crazy! It just goes to show you never really know what people are capable of. It's sad.

It sure is sad. I love his comedy, his shows on TV, his whole persona. And, now to know he was just the opposite is a cruel reality.

@celticeagle Yep, it was a huge let down for a lot of people when they heard the news.

Hmmm - makes you wonder just what was in those Jello Pudding Pops! I have been entertained by this man ever since I was a kid - I loved his humor and acting. I admire his talents, but he gets a big thumbs down as a person to me. Let's just say he was once very respected - but his choices in the past have now come back to haunt him.

Me too! Loved Chicken Heart. I wore out that record. He was hilarious. And to think he had this secret life. It is disgusting.

@celticeagle I had to look that up. Apparently the entire recording is up on YouTube, so when I have time, I'll have to check that out! I saw the cover too - wow, he's super young there! But yah, makes you wonder what was going on in his life back then . . .

He is a great example of what is wrong with people who judge just by what they think they see, the power that is abused by people, and that women are often ignored or mistreated when they report these things. He is a great example of someone appearing to be one of the good guys but really, he is as evil as they come.

The sad thing is men with money and power lived in a double standard. Protected. That was the old normal. Now there is a new normal, which took decades of feminism and that got derailed too. We live in a Rape Culture. Maybe this will put a dent in it. Maybe Bill has served a noble purpose.

I just don't know. It has to be true, with all of these women coming forward. But I don't buy that Janice Dickinson's story. She seems more to be a woman scorned than a rape victim. I never watched I Spy, but I know my dad loved that show. I just don't know how his wife can stick by him the way she does. She is in such denial, or is he abusive to her?

When he was on the show I spy in the 60's was the first time i saw him and thought nothing of him,,then he had this Cosby show about his real life family and thought he was very arrogant..only watched it to see the kids.. Commercials and such..he seemed to get worse with that sly face of his and knew something wasn't right with him..glad to know the truth finally came out and i have no sympathy for his wife who continues to stick by his side after all he's done

Yeah he is another great celebrity who I am disappointed in to say the least. The thing about what he did is, he could have had many women without the use of force. Sad and terrible.
