I guess that father will kick himself daily for not keeping a better eye on his children. I was taught if a child is quiet to go look to see what they are up to. Guess he didn't know that.

@writerjo I don't by the being to busy. If a parent is to busy to watch their kids. They need to find someone who can help them out. Miscommunication, I don't buy that either. 20 years ago, this was never heard of. Now it is happening like an every day occurrence. Sorry my empathy is for the children who die in cases like this.

@rusty2rusty Yes it is occuring in recent days and not happend like this 10 or 15 years ago . If the kids are in reliable persons control these would not happen . How the mother will tolerate the loss of the children who carried in her womb for ten months

I have heard of that happening before, as I have read about infamts dying a hot car, because the mother or father, forgot the baby was there, and went about there work day.It really breaks my heart when that happens. How can anyone forget that their childrend are in the car? It just boggles my mind, and I certainly will never understand it at all.

@writerjo I would never ever thinkof leaving a chile in a car especially in the heat, and forget about them. Parents need to take their kids in the stores and not leave them in cars. i have two kids, that are grown, and I never ever left them in the car, even for a minute, unless there was another adult in the car.I would always take them inside with me.

@rosekiss You are so kind and cared about your children . But it caused due to cent percent ignorance of the parents , I can say . Is anything much more important in this world than own children ? Most troubling event I could not guess the poor father's mentality before this incidence

@rosekiss Parents must conclude that car is only for the purpose of drive and not a Lounge , Bedroom , Play Ground . If they think so , this type of car deaths will never happen in future . Moreover parents should keep eyes on children even if they are in major work . Well said @rosekiss

Cars are generally not airtight. I wonder where in the car they were. Possibly in the trunk (boot in UK cars) and how the family failed to check the car when they noticed the girls were missing. heat exhaustion sounds probable, if windows were not cranked open a little. Terribly sad event.

@writerjo Some cars have child-proof locks on the inside so children can't open a door and fall out while a car is moving. The doors can only be opened from outside. It's possible such locks were engaged in this case. Terribly sad.

@arthurchappell Still I am wondering how these kids have been trapped inside the car. Nobody is around to watch them or save them . As you said , remote locks function the same .

@arthurchappell They were supposed to go to police station for missing kids . Kids planned to play hide & seek game . They found it would be better to hide themselves in car . It is a wonder how they do not know to open the car . Or else it was automatically locked . If at all they could have beat the windows , so the public might see and helped them . What you @arthurchappell said is correct

It is really painful to read such a news. I wonder how parents could be careless so as to leave their kids alone in a car. They must make it a point that kids do not sit in a car without their supervision.

@dpk262006 They assume that children will be safe if they are in the car . What an ignorance !

That's really sad. They shouldn't let small children as such play on their own, let alone play in the car.

@Hate2Iron Yes .What you said is correct . Some parents are unable to have children in these time . There are parents who can not care for own children It is a paradoxical phenomenon . He could have realised it . But will he get back those kids . Reading this news few will be alert I think .

No one should be locked inside a car, especially children! So horrifying. And there is a chance of this more with the AC on. The AC circulates the same air, and if someone remains inside locked for long they can suffocate. Hope the parents are a little cautious after this event.
