I told my husband that before we hit the grocery store I wanted to go to Walmart which is right across the road. I live on Zantac and I had a $2 off coupon. Since they are cheaper at Walmart I figured I would come out ahead - sure right!
We had not been to Walmart in well over a month and as soon as I walked through the doors I remembered I needed some new dish towels, Advil and I wanted the new Oreo thin crisp cookies. My husband pushed the 'buggy' and I tossed in the items. When we finally checked out the bill was $204 - I reminded her she didn't take off the $2 coupon - so that brought the total down to $202.
My husband was really happy that we went to Walmart to save $2 LOL!

Glad I'm not alone! Maybe that's why I'm not big on coupons!

@AbbyGreenhill I suppose I am not very good with coupons. I always spend too much when I have to use one.

@LadyDuck I think sometimes coupons make us spend more money because we buy stuff we don't need!

My husband ONLY buys what's on a list - therefore I won't send him alone unless I'm really sick.

Very true - I needed them so $2 in my pocket is better than in theirs!
