Taking their name from Art Garfunkel (Simon & Garfunkel) and John Oates (Hall & Oates) these comedy singers may look familiar to fans of The big Bang Theory TV show. They are Riki Lindhome (who tried to seduce Sheldon to get him to share credit with her for a physics theory in the Cooper-Nowitski Theorem, and Kate Micucci, who played Raj’s girlfriend Lucy for much of season five. As a comedy-folk combo, the girls do some quite daring rude songs on sexual politics, pro-gay rights and a few genuinely tender love songs too. They had a short lived Flight Of The Choncords style TV series together in 2011, which the critics praised but it got few viewers. The girls have had some big name co-performers in their live shows and videos, including Weird Al Yankovic. Not for the easily offended but well worth a look / listen. When televangelist Pat Robertson claimed that the US legalization of gay marriage was akin to legalizing sex with ducks the duo responded with the song Sex With Ducks. Other highlights - Me, You and Steve – about the dates with a guy who keeps turning up with his mate in tow - Loser (the animation on the video for this reminds me of the old Bod cartoons) and Rainbow Connections – one of their more serious songs tender celebrating same sex marriage. I do remember well Simon & Garfunkel but I never heard about this group.

They are quite new and far from mainstream. Their humour would ban them from airplay on many radio stations

@arthurchapell I'm not too much into comedy singers. I think the silliest songs I ever heard were on the old Hee Haw show.
