What influenced your breakfast choices this morning?

I don't usually eat breakfast. It's probably a bad thing, considering breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day, but it's just not a habit I've ever had. This morning, though, I'm pan-frying a steak. It was supposed to be for stir fry tonight, but I saw an ad for prime rib flavored dog treats on another site and my stomach decided that the steak is breakfast, not dinner. Now I have to go buy another one for dinner, and it's all Pup-Peroni's fault.

I reached into the cupboard and grabbed a box. It happened to be a box of granola bars, so that was my breakfast ... quick, simple and no cooking required.

Breakfast roulette... I like it. My kids get so mad at me when I eat their granola bars. I have to remind them who bought them, and then the kindergartner reminds me that we pay with Daddy's money...

@yukimori Hey, you gotta keep it interesting now and then, and breakfast roulette is much better than some other kinds that I can think of. LOL - I think that your kindergartner is too smart for her own good sometimes.

I made brownies yesterday, so I ate those for breakfast. Later, I got hungry for real fool and made sausage and egg burritos.

The brownies definitely sound delicious for breakfast ... or lunch or supper.

@yukimori Yup, especially that one particular time of the month, and then brownies for breakfast, lunch AND supper is not out of the question.

Brownies... now that's a really awesome breakfast! I'm tempted to go make the box that's sitting on the counter now... @purplealabaster Anytime is a good time for brownies, eh?

This morning I had: breakfast burrito from the kids' school - there were tons of class leftovers. Later I downed 2 mini sample cups of coffee from Trader Joes when I went there. And now at 11:30, I just had 2 chicken drumsticks, leftover from last night's dinner and a multivitamin - no more meals probably til later. I am influenced by whatever that moment brings me - ha ha!

Or whatever I can scrounge up that does not require actual cooking, although heating up in a microwave is still an option.

@much2say Oh yeah, "human garbage disposal" is a good description - it is rare that I actually get to choose my own lunch, because I get stuck with whatever everybody else does not want to eat whether I like it or not.

@purplealabaster "Scrounge" - yes, I do A LOT of that! I'm also a human garbage disposal for leftovers that the kids do not eat!

I have recently added peanut butter in our menu and so peanut butter with a chocolate spread is what I had this morning. I am beginning to feel that I will soon get fed up of peanut butter.

Are you sick of the peanut butter yet? My kids don't really care for it on anything. They'll eat it plain. I just bought some pumpkin butter, and they've been going crazy over it. I spread it on toast for them.

You must have been really hungry. My breakfast choices are influenced by the time I have to prepare breakfast and what there is in the refrigerator.

I guess I was... all it took was a suggestion to convince me that it was a good idea to make that steak! My choices today are limited to "what the kids want." I bought a few boxes of Apple Jacks cereal this week, and they think they're the best thing ever.

I ate a piece of the leftover chocolate cake, then decided that one piece was too little and finally discovered that there was too little to leave any. So I ate it all

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal in a day, but the truth is that we have so little time doing a breakfast by ourselves. I usually buy several bottles of milk and some bread at weekends and enjoy them as my breakfast on weekdays. Though it's not quite enjoyable, it's quite convenient.

Breakfast is not an important meal in my country. Generally I have a tea or a coffee with a croissant, and sometimes a yogurt. I lack creativity and I would not eat some fried meat for breakfast.

Quick and easy... that sounds like my type of breakfast! I don't function well enough in the morning to go all-out and make a full breakfast with pancakes and eggs and bacon and so on. Maybe I'd be more inclined if I had more coughee beforehand...

i think you have to take inventory of what you have then decide if you wanna wait or cook something different sometimes you can't plan ahead very far.

I always have problems deciding on breakfast, between time constraints and just general sleepiness it's not the meal that I am decisive over. I tend to go the path of least resistance and often skip it or have a heath shake.

My breakfast is usually Milo (a chocolate drink) and perhaps biscuits or bread. If I am hardworking enough, I'd make pan cakes, fry eggs or noodles for my children and myself. But if it's only me, I usually do not cook in the morning.

I don't eat breakfast either. The only time I do is when I make my kids something and they don't finish it. As long as it doesn't have to much sugar I will finish whatever they don't eat just to keep from wasting it. Today when I got up at 10:20 I made my coffee and drank that. Then on crowdtap for a mission it wanted us to post a photo of the chocolate milk shake we were making for National Milk Shake Day. Although that was the 12th we could still show pictures and earn points. I made myself an easy milkshake I saw on the site a few days ago. It was bananas, chocolate syrup, milk , and ice. I just got hungry and ate 4 apples from my apple tree. I intend to have grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner.

Time influenced my breakfast today. I am feeling tired and have to leave for work so I am having some cake with orange juice and coffee. I like homemade pancakes for breakfast but they need time to be cooked so I can only prepare them in weekends. Steak sounds a little strong for my stomach in the morning, I would prefer to eat it for lunch.

I don't think my stomach would tolerate a steak in the morning!
