Did You Ever Learn Anything Useful From the Internet?

I visit YouTube a lot and there are tons of tutorials in there that teach you everything from how to do dance steps to how to make wire wrap jewelry...a skill I've dabbled in for a while now myself. I learned how to do a knitting stitch from watching just two videos. If you had a YouTube channel and wanted to do a tutorial, what would you teach? Let me see....I think I would teach people how to dance really oddly or something like that. That IS one of my skill sets, you see. Go on, tell us what you would teach the world to do.

Hehe. I'm glad you would watch me acting goofy. If I ever do make a video I'll let you know. Oh that's cool about the hair stuff! I watch those sometimes. I dream of having enough hair to do that stuff with.

@TiarasOceanView Oy...sister, I feel ya. I really do. I have such thin hair that a wisp of wind blowing through it makes me wonder if it's going to fall out.

I have used them often ... for different things... but I would not be able to make a teaching video.... I tried doing a video blog while I was away ... it took ten 'takes' or goes should I say.... and it was still rubbish... so I don't think that's for me ...lol's....

I hear ya. I tried to vlog myself once and it was a riot when I watched it back. I managed to cut off most of my head in every scene, and then I looked totally disheveled and disgusting. I'm probably better off not pointing a camera at myself and talking to it like an idiot.

@sueznewz2 LOL. I don't know how those people who vlog for a living actually DO it. It's a lot harder than it looks, that's for sure.

Oh there's always something that we are good at...even if it's only providing a listening ear when someone needs us. (hug) I think there are still YouTube possibilities even if we don't know how to teach anything...like vlogging, for example. Or...I see you're in the Philippines. You could teach people your native tongue. I'd definitely watch it.

I too visit YouTube everyday to learn something. Be it crafting or cooking skills. Or some technical tutorial. There is something to learn from the youtube all the time. I find youtube more informative than anything out there. Most likely I have found a lot of skillful people on the website and they make some nice videos. I wish I could make some of such decent videos. If i had some of such equipment I'd make some cool videos.

That's an issue with me too....equipment. I don't have a hi-def camera to record videos with and that apparently, is a must these days. Maybe someday, when I feel rich. hehe.

@Novelangel Yes, basic DSLR camera is a must for better recording. Along with one tripod. Once these two things are set, next thing is video editor. And things are all set. It'd cost a lot at start but eventually pay for itself over a period of time.

That's a cool topic. I watched a video about some of the lesser known facts of the Jewish holocaust during WW 2. Very sad, some of the images, but they are out there for us to remember things of the past so we don't repeat them.

@marlina Hmmm. I had one discussion I posted yesterday that nobody even noticed apparently. I don't know what happened there, but usually they get at least a little notice. The one that nobody saw is about calling a help desk and getting no answer. I forget the title I used, because my poor little brain cells don't knock together the way they used to.

Wow! I would definitely subscribe to your youtube channel. I love to dance too! :-) If I had a youtube channel I would definitely teach how to apply makeup or maybe do some DIY for the home like decorating. Sometimes youtube keeps me up all night just watching all the tutorials.

YouTube is definitely addicting. I have several vlogs I watch regularly that consume a better part of the day if I let them. I often have to just let them go and catch up on them later when I have free time. Well, thank you for that vote of confidence, by the way. We could subscribe to each other!

@styhlymessy Whoops. took me long enough to spot this comment. Sorry about that, nikka. Well, I watch Daily Bumps, Ellie and Jared, and a few other of those family vlog channels. They are quite addicting.

I love the tutorials on Youtube, I use them for everything from crochet stitches to how to change out a hard drive in any specific model computer. I could teach a lot of things except how to be comfortable making videos.

Now that would be a video I'd need to see. ;) I would be so self-conscious if I tried to make one.

I learn a lot from the Internet - YouTube included. I don't know what I could teach. How to build a website maybe or maybe some easy cooking recipes.

Those are good ideas for sure. Everyone wants to learn how to cook and everyone else wants to learn how to build successful websites.

The last time I learn how to replace ink cartridge from YouTube. I also learn Photoshop from YouTube tutorial. I think YouTube is wonderful site that has important role. I myself just learn about YouTube channel and upload videos. Not tutorial, but more product promotion for my company. These days there are a lot of software that help you creating video at ease. Even without camera, recording or slide, you can make awesome video and upload it to YouTube at ease

i could teach some French to someone who wants to REALLY be serious about it.

Ooh la la, that would be magnifique! I speak only English but know a little Spanish, just enough to communicate in sign language with a native speaker. It would be awesome to see serious tutorials on the French language.

I learned a lot from YouTube tutorials, from how to change the internal HD from a laptop computer to make pastries. There are several things I could teach to the world, how to make mayo from scratch for example.

@choccolatte LOL, this really needs a video. I remember I when I was unable to make mayo, when I moved to France a friend simply showed me how to start, since that day I never missed one.

All the time, but sometimes you learn things that are not actually true.
