Can You Climb Trees

In my childhood I would play a game with my classmates.We all were then in the 10-12 age group.One of us was selected to act as 'thief'.We would climb trees that were in our school premises and the 'thief' had to chase and touch us. We would play this game everyday.Gradually I became a good tree climber.Even now I often relive those days and try climbing trees. Can you climb a tree?Have you ever tried it? Try it once.You will love it.Believe me, it's fun.

I used to do it a lot when I was a child. haven't done it for years (Well, I AM 75!)

@jaboUK If you are careful,you will never fall.Care becomes all the more indispensable especially when you move around on the tree and go from one branch to another.

I was never good at climbing trees.actually I was never good when it came to physical activity

@swissheart,Unlike you I used to play football and hockey,climb trees,flew kites,participate in races etc,although I was not very good at any of these.Still I can say I enjoyed my childhood to the fullest.

In the flurry of "which icecream flavor you like" discussions, this was a fresh change :) kudos I think I can still climb a tree though I never was a great climber. Also, curious about the game you mentioned... can we name the names? :)

@hora_fugit,Thanks.Actually that game was our own invention.And it was nameless.Some of us used to call it 'Tree-monkey game.'We would play it regularly.There were many guava and mango trees in our school premises.We would climb the tree and the boy acting as 'thief' would chase and try to touch anyone of us.If the 'thief' succeeded,then the boy who was touched would have to become 'thief'.....This game was our invention and we were the only ones in the town who used to play it
