Fall Fun

I love the idea of raking leaves and have pictures of my son when he was three, jumping into piles of colorful leaves. Bon fires or wood fires go well with the season, too. We do have to be careful with sparks and such though. All the country roads we drive past make me remember going on hay rack rides. I have never been on a real hay rack, but have been on trailers pulled by trucks or tractors. I think that would be fun on a really chilly night. Food I think of in the fall are pumpkin, and apples, and roasts and hot soups. Bring on the cool temperatures, I am certainly ready. If someone will bring brownies, I will make gingersnaps. We can wash the goodies down with hot cocoa and warm cider. Yum.

Now that sounds like a real Autumn! I hope we get cooler temps soon - and I can't wait for all the fall festival events coming up. I'm gonna make our pumpkin goodies soon! I'll be making some apple leather this week for my son's class . . . maybe I can make some for all of us too!

@GardenGerty I haven't done it yet - but according to online recipes, you literally bake a layer of applesauce in a baking sheet on low 140degrees (I think) for like 8 hours (unless you have a dehydrator which we don't have). Sounded simple enough anyway!

I do not mind Fall. But I do not like winter at all.

Winter is okay, if it does not stay too long.

Fall is my favorite season, I love the same things as you do and taking long rides is perfect.
