There's an app for THAT, too?!

There's apps for playing music. Apps that scan documents into PDF format on your phone. Apps for games, photo editing, social media, ordering from restaurants so you can skip the line... And apparently for mixing your drinks at participating Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, too. Now, that seems kind of pointless to me, because wouldn't it take more time to get set up to use the app than to plop down a cup, push a few buttons, and pour the drink manually? Or am I just missing the point? What's the weirdest app you've seen so far?

That seems really ridiculous, I really can't see that anyone would use that.

The only practical application I can really see for it at this point is hijacking the machine and pouring random drinks for customers. Okay, that's not really practical, but I know a few people who would amuse themselves with it.

gadgetry for the sake of gadgetry and a chance to show off the geeky tech in public

And an opportunity for some troublemaker to hijack the machine and pour whatever drink they feel like for someone else, perhaps?

@yukimori yes it could be dangerous. Diabetics could end up with sugary drinks, etc.

Hello hon, I now have to watch out for an app that allows a person to look up prices online for the store I work for, then change the shown price to whatever amount you really want to pay for the item! After people started showing up wanting things for 1 penny (and the item sells for over $100) it makes it glaringly obvious something is up! We no longer accept what a customer's phone shows! If I can't look it up on my own phone and see that same price, you can't purchase the item for less than the store marked price! I have caught one person who tried that so far... I LOVE my SGS4 mini, but HATE some apps!

Never heard of an app that will pour your drinks for you. You must be pretty lazy to use that app. I would rather pour my own drink myself then tell an app to do it for me. I guess people will make an app for anything now a days.

Today there are many different apps for the cellphone and some of them are useful, some of them are for fun. I installed many weird apps for my son, such as an app to check the noise, find the metal etc. I still like to search funny apps sometimes.
