I love going to yard sales! Sometimes you can find great stuff! Deals...but oh how I hate having them...they are so much hard work! Easy to figure out what you don't want anymore...hard to sell! Advertising, sorting, setting it up, pricing, fighting the elements,.and then packing up what didn't sell and putting it back in storage...ughhh

i miss the yard sales 'f back in the hills 'f tennessee. in these parts folks think ya ought to pay full price fer their 'treasures'. i fear i don't do yard sales myself. if'n i've no need fer it, i either find it a home/'r donate it to a charity. the thought 'f strangers millin' 'round my place jest don't sit well with me.

I to had a small issue with people being around my house like that. When I had yard sales we always went some where other than our yard. There was a flea market area we used and just other places around that we could go to and have it so that it wasnt around my home where i had to worry.

@crazyhorseladycx Wow, yea no one would be going inside my home for the bathroom. Not being rude but protecting my home and family. I did see somewhere recently where someone went for a yardsale and stole things off the property so I would be leery. That is a long way and sorry to hear there isnt a place you can do that. There isnt really one around here either but I would go to the community center and do it in from of there if I was to have one now.

I have had a few of them and I know it is very hard work!! I am actually having another one soon and not at all looking forward to it. Putting up the signs are hard to do as well especially when it is so hot outside! Ughh! It is very tiring but fun at times. The besat part is the $ and the other best part is when the Sale is over!!

I love yard sales as well. I have had a few in my time, but I would prefer to go to them and get some really great deals than to have my own. I have found some awesome things at yard sales. Another mans junk, is another mans treasure

I couldn't be bothered with having one of these. Yard sales seem to be more of an American thing.

We have the same problem. I am also going to sell my stuff for maximum profit so I can pay off the bills. If you really want to get rid of stuff then you can price them cheaper.
