How rude of me not to have introduced myself. Let's put that right

I have never been what might be called an 'early adopter' when it comes to websites and online community sites. I'm a sceptic by nature - I suspect most sites to be scams and cons so I loiter in the background and wait to see if other people survive before I jump in. I joined the B-site (seems it's the site whose name must not be spoken aloud unless you turn round three times and throw salt over your shoulder) about 18 months ago. I had a great time from March to November and then it all started to go bad. They cut payments - even payments already redeemed - and then cut them again and again. In the two months I've been waiting for my $50, I've earned just 99 cents. I used to cash out $200+ per month. But enough of them. I was Boingboing over there. I can't be over here as someone nabbed that name many years ago. So in true 'the king is dead, long live the queen', Boingboing is put to rest and a slightly bizarre 'boiboing' comes to life. Many will not recognise me or my name but will be familiar with my big blue cat Baloo. He's still around, still sticking out his tongue. Great to find so many familiar faces and names over here.

A very warm welcome to MyLot, Barbara! I was (and still am) Owlwings on that other site and I recall your name as being very active, in fact I see that I follow you. (I regret that I haven't time to page through all my followers to see if it is mutual, but I think it is). MyLot is not, and never has been, a scam. They always paid on time, every time from 2006 to 2013, when they ended the Earnings Program. Now that they have started paying again, I fully expect them to keep that banner waving. I'm sure that you will have found the "Help" section next to your username and avatar. You'll find the two most essential things to read are the Community Guidelines (a.k.a 'Rules') and the Earnings Program FAQs. At the moment, there are no official General FAQs, so I'll point you to my discussion where I am trying to collect them together (see below). Something I haven't yet included but which many Ex-B's ask about is that there are no upper or lower word limits to posts here (either for discussions, responses or comments), nor is there any set limit on the number of discussions you may start. It's also worth noting that, provided you have entered a valid PayPal email address in "Settings", payment is automatic once you have reached $10 by the last day of any month. I'm sure that you will have many other questions as you find your way around and you will find plenty of helpful people who will tell you whatever you need to know!
I've been a member here since October 2006 and I and several others have tried to help newcomers to understand the site and to get the best out of it. I've...

Thanks - much appreciated that you took the time to fill me in on all of that. I was very active last year - not so much this year. And now I'm practically dormant. I post 'now and then' so as not to give them an excuse to not pay me by claiming I don't use the site any more.

@boiboing I haven't posted anything for a long time, though I do look at the site and comment occasionally. I recently found that I could no longer delete my old posts, though I could edit them. Sent support a ticket but got no reply, so have taken to replacing all of my remaining articles with information about the dark and sordid story story behind Bubblews and Sweeble, quoting articles posted here by @BernieZ and @topffer. I have no doubt that, once they come across them, my account will suddenly vanish!

@owlwings I deleted 1200 posts after they slashed the redeemed payments.

Hello there! Yes, I did recognise that lovely cat nice to see you here. You've no doubt discovered that this is where most of us are now. I've been here just over two weeks and love it.

Welcome aboard! Yeah, most of bubblers seem to be on here now. Some are long time myLotters returning and some are newbies to myLot whose faces are already familiar.

Welcome to Mylot from MIMIMI (at the other place). It takes a little while to get accustomed like everywhere else.

I had to but an x in front of Fiacre to gain admission. Migrants can't be choosy.
