When you are upset, what do you do?

We all handle sadness in our own unique ways (okay, maybe not so unique). I have a bad habit of disturbing the hell out of whoever's near me. They get annoyed, in turn I get more annoyed and it continues in a vicious cycle. When I'm alone I tend to watch a movie to lift the mood. What do you do? Don't be shy. It can be a bad or a good reaction, but sharing it will lessen that burden a bit. We are all here to share, aren't we?

I pray, or read the Bible. That is the only thing that can keep me going when I am sad.

When I am upset I count 1 to 100 and take long deep breath for sometimes. Else, I leave the scene and if possible go for a walk. Walking makes me feel better. I try to ponder over the problem instead of getting upset. I see to it, if I could find out a solution to the problem then I try to resolve it and if it is beyond my control, I leave in the hands of God.

@dpk262006 that's a very good solution. yes one of my friends tell me if we think of the problem with reasoning, where it went wrong and how to correct it, our mood lifts automatically and we are no longer upset.

@ria1606roy - Keeping a problem pending or procrastinating something does more harm then good. Getting upset is a normal thing. But to my mind, we should get back to normal mood at the earliest possible because remain upset makes us feel more depressed and negative thoughts envelop our mind.

@dpk262006 yeah true. And the more depressed we feel, the more our energy is drained out, whereas it should be utilized for yielding positive results.
