Is This Traffic On MyLot The Norm?

When I joined I few weeks ago, I thought that MyLot would be a lot busier than it is. Is this the normal flow right now? If it is, I am a bit disappointed. I hope that it picks up.

In past the traffic was very high and it was climbing slowly. i personally have experienced that discussions used to be a lot in numbers during the holidays as well. but now it is slowed down due to lack of payment by previous owners.

You wrote "lack of payment", was it something similar to BB?

@marlina It was very different than BB, nobody has been scammed : the owner was selling the site, myLot announced 1 month before that they were stopping the earning program and they paid all members having reached half of the payout threshold ($5). MyLot has been recently bought by some members of the previous staff, and they have decided to start again the earning program.

There were often more than 1000 discussions started/day in the previous version of myLot. Fortunately we had categories to find discussions interesting for us. Only a few old members are back for the moment. I suppose that the traffic will increase when people will be sure that myLot pays again.

I do not know how things works before but a thousand discussions a day seems a lot. I believe when people hear that this site is back and paying that more and more people will join and word of mouth of course is the way to do that.

@Marcyaz The old interface was completely different, with hundreds of categories, and you could even create your own categories (I did it once for fun for one discussion) and personalize them by loading your own pictures. It was the best interface I ever saw for a forum. When they stopped paying they switched to the actual interface, which was easier to maintain, but many members did not liked it and left because of the interface.

They've only been running as a pay site for a couple of months. I think we're doing well considering.

The rebooted myLot is still under upgradation. Once that is done I am sure there will be more traffic.

I take it then that when you said, what did you say now, I forget, something about you were going to interact a bunch if you could that day but I guess it didn't do as good as you thought it might? - what a messed up sentence! help!

Right now, yes. Things actually seem to be picking up in the last few weeks, although it's still extremely slow compared to how it used to be. I suspect that once more of us have reached the $10 minimum and are able to show proof of payment we're going to start seeing an influx of new and returning members.

It could be that it's the weekend and alot of people our out spending time with their friends and family. This place isn't like it used to be back then but hopefully it'll it pick up soon. I still have enough friends and discussions to get me by so I can earn something.

I guess all sites are slow on the weekends.. The other site I write in was practically a graveyard today. I took it as my cue to get some house work done.
