I Was at work last night when around 4 am the Christmas music started to play. Deck the halls rang out followed by "let it snow" and various other songs. It was not every song that was Christmas related, but around six had played by the time I left at 6 am. It's only October, and not even anywhere near November yet! Can we please slow it down a little bit society? I know that Christmas related stuff is already out everywhere, but seriously please slow it down.

That's just nuts! They shouldn't start with Christmas stuff until after Thanksgiving. People get sick of the Christmas music long before Christmas even arrives when they start it this early.

It is getting earlier and earlier ever year and it's plain ridiculous.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah it does seem to get earlier each year. I get that some people are Christmas shopping this early.. but that doesn't mean they want to hear the music already. There are only so many Christmas songs that they actually play.. usually the same ones repeatedly but by different artists... I get so tired of hearing them I could honestly skip hearing any of them this year and not feel like i missed out!

@katsmeow1213 Luckily when I went in to work last night I did not hear any Christmas Music. In fact I heard not new music, but new to the radio station that my work uses. Corporate Vs Consumerism. Corporations just want the money and take advantage of impulsive consumers.

It has stopped now, so I suppose it was a fluke.

I never pay any attention to Christmas before December, which is when I shall be creating a few Christmas cards on the computer. Nevertheless, I would not be unhappy listening to the seasonal music. I often play Christmas songs throughout the year because seasonal music sounds just the same to me whatever the date.

I've always reserved Christmas music for closer to Christmas. Growing up my grandmother would play Christmas music when cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, that is when we started to listen to it.

That is too early. Don't you think. By the time Christmas arrives everyone will be sapped out.

I agree! Luckily it must have been a fluke or something as it has stopped. I don't think I could have stood to hear it anymore!
