Pro and Cons of Mylot VS Bubblews

Two years ago, I was a frequent mylot user and I was able to earn some cash. But then when mylot eliminated the earning system, I left mylot to focus on my full time job. Then I am here again and the earning system is back which is good. I've heard about Bubblews and I know there are some Bubblews users here in mylot. What can you say about the two sites?

Hum hum (clears throat and takes a drink of water from the table beside the podium) My fellow comrades, (someone yells out “Bubblews is junk. myLot is not junk” as soon as the debate swings into gear) Hum, hum, I think that (looks around at the large number of attendies over the Mylot versus Bubbles debate and becomes somewhat intimidated) I think that (moves microphone to a better angle) Hum hum, (looks over at @owlwings who has made us look up the word sojourn, and then to @yukimori who’s opinion is extreme biased ) As I said previously, we should listen to our leader for without him we are nothing and without us she is nothing. What the heck did I just write?

@yukimori The greatest mistake in my opinion and it is always an opinion is it not? The greatest mistake any site owner can do is to disconnect. Comrade, shall we remember a great movie, red October I think it was when an actor from Wales spoke to his Russian comrades and made a speech. Without leadership we are lost! That is what I am saying here and it can cost dearly. Well, maybe 50 bucks.

@Bluedoll $50 isn't anything to sneeze at for a lot of us around here. Especially those in other countries, where the cost of living is so much lower...

My opinion is extremely biased. I never joined Bubblews because I felt from the beginning that their model was unsustainable and the site was doomed to failure. I haven't paid much attention to what's been going on there, but it's hard to ignore the posts I've seen from myLot users who are unhappy with Bubblews. And honestly, everyone is unhappy with Bubblews right now. There are errors that are preventing users from actually using the site. While Bubblews seems to be aware of the issues, they aren't actually addressing them at all. The founders have apparently jumped ship and gone on to greener pastures (aka Sweeble). The lack of response from Bubblews has gotten so bad that at least one user here has resorted to breaking the rules to get them to close his account and remove his posts. Oh, and that's not even taking into consideration the fact that the earnings over there are abysmal at this point and there's no guarantee that anyone who reaches their sky high $50 minimum will ever see a cent of those funds. Meanwhile, over here on myLot, we're having fun with our brownies and party hats. Our earnings might not be anywhere near what the earnings on Bubblews were in the very beginning, but myLot has a sterling reputation for timely payments despite abruptly ending the earnings program in 2013. I firmly believe that the way their earnings algorithm is designed allows for long-term stability. No, I don't know the specifics of it, but the fact that they don't openly disclose much information about it gives them leeway to tweak things behind the scenes. They're not making unrealistic promises that won't be kept, or that will drive the site into the ground. In fact, they don't make promises about the earnings at all aside from we'll reward you for your quality contributions to discussions here. Not only that, but the $10 minimum is fairly easily attainable. myLot's payment schedule is set and consistent. There's no guessing about when you'll be paid. You don't even have to put forth any effort to redeem, since it's all done automatically! And let's not forget the fact that the participation is genuine here. Plagiarists and spammers are shown the door quickly. You're not going to find posts filled with meaningless comments filled with generic compliments that show the poster never bothered reading it. (Oh, sure, we occasionally get a few who just read the title and answer based on that, but they're funny... ) Did I mention my opinion is extremely biased?

Thanks for expressing your opinion. Thats what I thought also. $10 is fairly attainable. For that $50, will that be easier to attain based on the design of bubblews? I havent used bubblews yet.

@jvincent_129 At this point I believe the earnings on Bubblews are lower than what can be gained here, and there's no certainty about whether you'd receive your payment even if you were able to earn $50.

The attraction with Bubblews was the high earnings potential, which attracted a vast number of members. That in turn generated a great deal of activity and interaction, which made the site an excellent social medium. Once the payment levels were reduced many members left, followed by a constant decrease in membership as the months passed by. I finally gave up because the site had become so inactive that it had no real purpose.

@jvincent_129 Surprisingly enough earning $50 there was easier than accruing $10 here, but of course that was not a realistic or sustainable payment level so eventually it had to come to an end.

Thanks for commenting. But at least you were able to get $50. Back then I didnt join this site on the fear that I might not get $50 for minimum payout. Whereas here in mylot, $10 is attainable. Hopefully it will remain this way not like the one in 2013 where they turned it into social site without earning anymore.

Bubblews was good while it lasted. In fact, it was TOO good to last - many of us knew that in 2013 - and, predictably, it failed for a number of reasons, mainly because it was paying at completely unsustainable rates and didn't have any proper moderation to prevent the scammers and plagiarists from taking advantage of it. The 'pros' are that it gained a good and loyal following, many of whom have transferred here. MyLot is a fine example of a good idea which was competently planned and executed. It also suffered from problems of rather more being paid out than was justifiable by the income and expenses of running the site but it was able to 'wind down' its earnings program in a fairly organised fashion (it WAS done very hastily and a number of people felt hard-done-by at the time, but they did honour the outstanding balances of most of the members at the end). It's rebirth after two years in the hands of different owners and the restoration of the original management is encouraging. The return of many of the old members (together with some of the best from Bubblews) and the commitment and dedication of the moderator has also helped the site to come back quickly from its sojourn in the wastes of Spamland. The concept behind the two sites is rather different although they seem, at first sight, to be quite similar. Bubblews was (and could be again, under different management) much more of a 'writer's site' with rather less emphasis on comments and 'conversation' or 'discussion'. MyLot gives much more encouragement to the (sometimes long-winded) discussion of a topic, so is more of a 'forum' than Bubblews but there is a considerable overlap in the way both sites are actually used by their members.

You hit on the point with that. Mylot is more of discussion and commenting and interaction. Looking at bubblews, maybe I project myself to not able to enjoy it. In mylot, I can see I can learn from people like you and gain some knowledge about things and sometimes maybe advices about life and things.

I found out about Bubblews here in My Lot. I tried it and I was impressed with the payouts. However, after a few months, there are a lot of complaints everywhere, from payouts to the rules and regulations. I agree with some of the complaints such as violators and rampant plagiarism, as this will improve the site. But some complaints are really minimal and some people are making a big deal about it.

@chiwasaki For the sake of just making money they concentrated on just making content even though it is being copied. You need to make a content by enjoying and having good interaction.

MyLot functions on interaction and connectivity. Communication is solid between moderators and members. I never felt that on Bubblews.

BB was generous before. I received a lot of payouts and I thought that they will go to a higher level because they are upgrading their system. Moreover, the CEO were also being interviewed on TV and I was under the impression that the site will be stable. However, everything changes when there are a lot of complaints regarding plagiarism or using an app to gain likes. Then, they decided that they will extend the payment for 3 months for some countries. They made some major changes and suddenly, they no longer pay you. This is sad and disappointing at the same time specially if you are an honest BB user.

I haven't been here long enough to get paid yet, but I know for sure that I don't want to be at Bubblews any more despite making decent money there in the past.
