The other day I was out with my camera and I saw this little white cat. The kitty didn't look much more than a kitten and so I took a couple of shots of it. When I was looking at the photo on my laptop I realised that this little kitty had different coloured eyes. I was quite surprised to see the different coloured eyes. It is not something that I have come across much, so I thought I would share the photo so you could see for yourself, Have you seen any animals or people with different coloure

@crazyhorseladycx I think that you are right this kitty has more than a touch of Siamese. I never knew that it happened with some breeds of horses too.

The kitten is cute, I have seen other white cats with different coloured eyes and usually the husky dogs. This cat has the left eye like mine and the right one like my niece.

That looks a sweet little cat. Horses sometimes have different coloured eyes, but they are usually piebald (black and white patches) or skewbald (brown and white patches). If a white patch coincides with one eye and the black or brown with the other, that's when they are different. The white patched eye is often paler coloured, and sometimes blue.

I've seen cats, dogs and horses with different coloured eyes. Not sure about people though. It would be hard not to stare if someone had different coloured eyes.

I've seen a few huskies with different colored eyes, but that's about it. Genetics are amazing. It's amazing how they work with some people. My son's eyes change colors from green to blue, no one in my family has green eyes, so I'm not sure why his are ever green. My eyes are blue, his dad's eyes are blue. My boyfriend and I both have one parent with brown eyes and one with blue eyes. I'm not sure where the green eyes come from. I haven't yet met a human with two eyes that are different colors though, but like I said genetics are so weird.

What a cutie! I haven't seen any recently. I have seen some odd ones years past. Very definite yellow and blue eyed cats. Siamese with different colored eyes too.

@celticeagle Different coloured eyes are still rare enough to make you take notice when you see them. I had a friend who live in Boise on Chicken Dinner Road lol...

@sueznewz2 Yes Sue it is unusual to see people or animals with different coloured eyes. Though as some have pointed out in the comments certain breeds of dogs, cats and horses have them more often than others.

I had a college student with different colored eyes. She was actually quite pretty. But the eyes were a slight distraction, like the toupee in your other post.
