a vengeful person like I am. She was working in a theater back when ushers seated people and wore fancy outfits with brass buttons and applets on her shoulders. In walks a couple who wanted to be seated at the last few minutes of a Hitchcock movie. She didn't want to and told them you don't want to ruin the movie for yourself. They made a stink and the manager came over and ask what was going on. He tore her applets off of her uniform they had to wear back then. Well, fast forward to when Carol had made it big and was getting a star on the walk of stars. She was asked where she wanted her star. She told them right out in front of that very theater. She got her revenge. Don't you hate bosses like that? That reprimand right in front of other co-workers or even a customer.

Good for her and yes that kind of revenge is productive. On the other hand I'm glad I'm not the only one that carries some of those memories around for years. Team leaders sometimes managers if they do their jobs right are worthy of praise. I never liked that title "boss" unless you were referring to a car or a singer.

I do, I think they do it on purpose to show their authority and power.

I think it is very unprofessional. Any kind of reprimanding should be done in private.
