Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an International Humanatarian Medical Organization that goes into war torn regions. The doctors and nurses and other medical people volunteer their time. You ask how is it funded 80% is by private donations, government and corporate donations provide the rest. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) was started by French doctors and journalists who believed that all people have the right to medical care. They remain independent of any political, religious or economic powers. MSF received the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of its members' continued efforts to provide medical care in acute crises, as well as raising international awareness of potential humanitarian disasters.

I may become one of their vehicle/ambulance drivers - that is the only way I can contribute. I do not have money to contribute nor do I have the Medical Skills.

I have read about these when I was researching about my ailments on Internet and they came up with a hope. Most of the doctors at my place of stay are so mean, money minded and poor in their knowledge that I have to travel 1200 kilometers every year to consult the one I have been visiting now. I had almost given up on the Doctors' profession is the Noblest Profession" thing but reading about these MSF have rekindled my hopes. At least there are some good souls who are doctors and still keep the faith - "Doctors are almost Next To Gods"

Yes it very definitely was sad news to hear that now there will be less medical staff to help but maybe because of this others will volunteer.

Yes, it is a good organization and did you hear about that air strike over in Afghanistan that hit a hospital. It killed three of those doctors from Doctor's Without Borders. They are saying it could have been an American air strike. They are still not totally sure if it was an American air strike. It is very sad. Others were killed too.

I have a French friend who joined Médecins Sans Frontières, I do not know where he is right now. I hope he was not in Afghanistan were a MSD hospital has been hit by US airstrike.

I think organizations that are not linked to any other people commercially or politically such as this one, but just work for humanity, give hope to the hopeless and teaches all about the greater good.
