Man and his brother take in stray dogs and finds them homes. He decided to take make a train for them and he and his brother make this and take them for a ride in it every morning. He never expected to retire from farming and become a conductor. The 80-year-old has been doing this for years, driving the dogs around in "cars" made of blue barrels attached to his tractor and taking them out for some fresh air or a dip in the local creek. And he's become quite well known around his town for doing so. They live down on a dead-end street, where he and his brother have a horse barn. People sometimes come by and dump dogs out here, leaving them to starve. So, we started feeding them, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live. Picture Credit to Tiffany Johnson

That is good man. He obviously care about those animals. We have an animals shelter by us and they take in all kinds of strays and they also do reduce. Those poor animals suffer when people just don't want them. How horrible is that to do to an innocent animal. I could never do that. This guy and his brother are doing a great thing for those homeless animals.

More people should be like this man and his brother. I can't understand why people don't have their pets spayed or neutered to reduce the stray population.

@inertia4 I know it is terrible to just drop an animal off some place and let them fend for themselves. I am glad there are people around like him and his brother.

@Marcyaz That might be part of it. But some people just abandon their pets in the streets. How they can be so heartless to an animal like that is beyond me.

Isn't it amazing how some people will step up to help out and the doggys love their train. How cool of them to think of something like that.

I always like to read this kind of stories, as a dog lover myself, I always like to help stray dogs, I think it is important to neuter them, to avoid them to spread, but, once they're here, is a must to find a good home for them. Thanks for sharing.

I have two dogs myself and being females I had them spayed. One was found as a puppy with her momma out on a road and taken to a shelter where I adopted her, the other was in a litter of nine and I saw a picture of her and knew she woud be mine and she is, she is no 10 months old. I enjoy writing about stories like this.Welcome

I think before you retire you need a plan and this type of thing is a good idea of course it could be any type of animal or person one could help out.

@Marcyaz You're welocme Marc. I prefer no-kill shelters than euthansia, unless the pet is ill. You've got your hands full. I'm sure your pets love you for saving their lives. :-)
