We always walk barefoot at home. We do not have carpet at home as the weather is hot all year round. It is nice to walk about barefooted. However, when we are traveling and staying in hotel, we put on the slippers provided by the hotel. No way will i walk barefoot in the hotel room.

I hope that winter is not too cold for you this year. I like to travel to countries to experience cold weather, but I cannot imagine having a few months of freezing temperature. I just hope that weather will be mild and not extreme in many places.

I walk barefoot all the time. I have "indoor slippers", but I rarely use them. I used them more when I lived with my family, but now I don't care because I live by myself, lol.

I wonder why you have to use indoor slippers instead of walking barefoot when you were living with your family. Anyway you have great freedom now. Hope you enjoy your freedom in your house.

Well I think most Asians do that. I also walk barefoot at home. In fact in our tradition wearing footwear inside the house is not practiced. Also, we leave our footwear outside when we enter a house!

Yes, I think most Asians do that too. I mean for most of us, we do not live in countries with cold winter, so it does not make sense to wear shoes or slippers at home. I think it is good for us to walk barefoot too. After all, we are born without shoes.

We are fortunate that we live in a hot and humid region. No room is too cold. Even when I take shower in the morning, the water is not cold enough. The disadvantage is that we have to switch on the air conditioner every night to sleep.

I do not dare walking barefoot outside my house. I do not want to get cut by anything. At least I know that my house is clean and safe, and nothing will cut my toe. I am not sure about the safety and cleanliness of outside roads.

@scheng1 The road in front of my house is clean and even.Walking along it is a pleasure. What I miss is grass on it.

I walk around outside in the spring, summer, and fall (and even the winter if I'm getting crazy) bare foot through the grass and the streams and elsewhere around my house. It's great fun until I step on a slug!! .

I think the slug will live. If you have worn shoes, it will definitely die. In this case, you are better off walking barefooted. I think you are living in a very nice place. i live in a city, and nobody will think of walking along the street barefooted. The only place we can do without shoes is our home.

@scheng1 Yes, it's rural country here. Lots of grass to cushion your feet as you walk. I don't care about the slug's life, it's just horribly slime that gets on your foot!
