Paypal Payment Delays

On another website I am with there is a message on their site stating there is a delay in payment processing due to a high number of payment request via Paypal and apparently the issue is with Paypal. I guess I will see if this is true or not as I am awaiting payment from another site via paypal, so if I get that soon then I know they are lying!

They aren't lying. I sent a personal payment from my husband's PayPal account to mine yesterday, and the transaction didn't show up in either account for about 6 hours after the payment was sent. It was incredibly frustrating because the balance disappeared from his account, but there was no record of the payment being sent in his activity. However, the payments I got from another company yesterday came through with no delays, so I have no idea what's going on there.

I would guess six hours is kind of normal transaction time.

@sofssu Normal transaction time is instant, or within about 10 minutes.

@sofssu ....Some sites tell you to give them at least 24 hours and some 48.

This may sound like an excuse, but it also quite feasible and difficult to be certain about.

If the situation is that PayPal have suspended their account and they have contacted PayPal to try to resolve it, then they are not lying by saying that "the issue is with PayPal" - they are just being economical with the truth. There can be any number of reasons why PayPal suspend accounts, some of them can, indeed, be due to a sudden increase in legitimate payment requests and nothing more. PayPal flag any unusual or suspicious activity on accounts and investigate thoroughly. Whilst they do this, they often suspend the account for a time. If they find everything in order, they remove the suspension. On the other hand, there could be some hiccups in PayPal's system generally.

They stated the issues is that paypal have been overloaded with payment requests that is why there is a delay.

I also think they are lying.. paypal has no issues with high volume.. they are built to do that.

They are surely lying because I have received immediately the payment that myLot has sent to my PayPal account.

@vandana7 I think the higher the volume or maybe issues with the site server could cause slight delays. Not sure.

I would wait a appropriate amount of time and then call Paypal and get their side of things. PP is very easy to work with and their reps are very good. Good luck! I know how frustrating such things can be.

@gudheart ....I have used Paypal for many years and never had a problem that wasn't quickly retified. I can call them and have what ever taken care of immediately.

I am thinking Paypal are too resourceful to have issues with late payments too.

I have not had that problem with any of the places I have cashed out lately. Sounds like the sight might be slack on their end and using PP as an excuse.

That could be the truth. I find it hard to believe Paypal can not deal with the demand

Generally PayPal is instant, but like Owlwings said, they can suspend an account if it has an unusual activity. Or they have not enough money available in their PayPal and are waiting for payments to pay members ? Or they are doing their payment by batches ? It does not seem "normal" but it is difficult to tell what happens.

I didnt noticed any such delays. i found that such delays could be temporary problems that we face. considering the way paypal is going on these days i doubt if such delays for reaching bank would be there.

I guess it is a temporary glitch with some servers and transitions, or security upgrades that PayPal has to do with new systems, or upgrading because of different platforms that are now using this online payment processor. Hang in. Nothing major is going to go wrong. :)

Be positive thinking...but if you want to know how the credibility of the site, you can check it via scamadviser.com. The site will give you a summary of the performance of a site.

I heard this yesterday also at one of my sites. That pp was even slow posting payments made not just cash out payments. It happens. Youll get paid soon.
