I love it when avatar is on. It feels good to see the person one is discussing with. Pictures gives some kind of pleasant imagery about a person.
I am trying to place my picture but it is not going through. I am getting error message and i guess i have to keep trying. Do you have any idea why?

@Missmwngi I think it must have been big. Other sites tell you that but I wonder why this, such an efficient does not do that. May be we should alert @myLotBugs on this.

Perhaps the photo is too large, try re-sizing it and see if works

Seems like you solved the problem. 
I'm fine with not seeing pictures on the avatar, I don't put mine either. On sites like these I think some people are more comfortable being anonymous.
