Life in Heaven: Will There Be Salaried-Employment in Heaven?

I know many Christians would say, "Naw, Ahh heareded we'll be sittin` on a cloud all day playin` our harps an-all-an-ever`thang." But I don't believe in THAT Heaven! I believe in the Heaven in which (as Lord Jesus Christ told Simon Peter) "What things you hold true on earth will be held true 'in Heaven'---a principle I 'hold true' for ALL 'disciples-of-Jesus' (people who study Lord Christ's teachings and apply them to life-today). The Heaven I believe-in is the one whose kingdom is "within us" (Lord Jesus Christ said---then-mistranslated "among you," to imply that He was speaking about Himself). In that kingdom, we will each be paid for work we do ... a lot like day-workers (the ones who hang out in hardware-store parking-lots to get 'hired' by people who need help with their house-&-garden-work). I'm starting to think how this will happen---citizenship being a contract-with-the-government (as the government-leaders are generally the ones who control the currency/money). Sound right?

What would you buy in heaven with your salary ? What would God have that he needed you to do for Him in heaven? Do you think God needs gardeners or maids? The kingdom must come within, Jesus must become King of your heart, He must arise in your heart. But we will still be translated into His heavenly realm, and I know of no scripture that indicates that we will have jobs there.

Repeating myself: Jesus says "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven,” (Matthew 16:19) and “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 18:18). Maybe you think He's only talking to THAT SPECIFIC disciple, but then Why is it in the book for ALL 'disciples'? And the Christians I know all "hold everyone bound" to 'working for a living.' I know you probably think "Well when we all get to Heaven, then we'll all let ever`body free!" but Jesus didn't say 'What you hold bound on Earth will be held bound in Heaven until you decide otherwise!" That's 'another level of Karma' (that Lord Jesus Christ teaches us ... parallel with the Apostle's "as you sow, so also shall you reap.") God tells me there that 'what you do today' BUILDS your "afterlife"---whether-or-not you're enjoying what you're doing now, you WILL continue to do it (over-&-over, or once very slowly; however you best understand it) FOREVER!

@mythociate The verse relates to spiritual things, not employees. We can loose blessing and healing and faith, we can bind spirits and demons and illness. You are playing with words and your conclusions are like those who say Jesus is another way to say Zeus, simply because they sound similar.

@Rollo1 "Faith without works is nothing."
