Do you take halloween as a serious holiday?

we celebrate Halloween here in the states but I never considered it really serious its just a day kids dress up and get candy or adults or teens dress up as slutty versions of professionals re: sexy nurse. some religious types take it way too serious and call it a demon holiday or pagan. im aware of the origins of the holiday but no one is actually thinking about real demons or witches on that day

Why not think about witches on this day? I am a Pagan and witch.

It's still half a month away and I'm already sick of people banging on about Halloween. For much of the world it's a completely irrelevant party.

We see it as fun in our house hold, but I work with people who see it as an evil holiday due to their beliefs which I find really sad as their kids miss out on some innocent fun
