Rough end to a nice trip

On my way home from visiting my sisters in New Mexico, about 25 miles away from home, I had a tire blow out. Talk about scary, I had a semi truck behind me, I don't know how he didn't hit me. There was no place to pull over, I had to squeeze as much as I could on the shoulder of the road. I was worried someone was going to hit me from behind. Thank goodness two good Samaritans (my guardian angels) stopped to help me. They changed my tire and had me on my way. I was so glad to be home safe and sound. Have you ever had a tire blow out on you?

I have and it really was scary. Fortunately for me, we were in a neighborhood and had just turned the corner so we were going slow. I'm glad that you were able to get help and arrived home safe.

@lilnana1111 I hope you don't either. You were just lucky that no one was hurt.

It's something I hope I never experience again.

Thankfully I have a car with 'run flat' tyres but I've had flats in the past and it's no fun at all.

I've never heard of those tires, but I think that's a good idea.

You are the second mylotter on the same day to have a flat tire and two good Samaritans who stopped to help. It seems it was a lucky day.

@lilnana1111 I know that this is a nightmare, it happened to us more than once. The worst was when we were vacationing on the Island of Aruba and the tire went flat on a deserted area of the Island. We were so happy when after more than two hours two American tourists decided to visit that same area and helped.

I don't know who the other person is that had a flat tire but I'm glad they are ok, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I was there for about 45 minutes before someone stopped, he was going the other way and saw me, so he made a u-turn and came to help, thank goodness. One guy directed traffic around us as the other changed the tire.
