I am my Father's daughter

I am the last in eight kids. Six of the kids are the result of a first marriage. My deceased brother and I are from the second marriage. A relative in another state has started gathering family history. He listed me and brother in with their lineage. I wondered where my Dad's photo was in that puzzle. He said that Dad was not in that line- BUT there's me and brother. Somebody please explain us? And why does he think Mom's last name is different than that listed on his chart? I tried to explain my objection to Mom. She did not understand. Hubby is positive that she does not remember my Dad. This part makes me quite sad. The other family listing part angers me. The guy who started gathering the family listings says he will try to figure out what to do soon.

This shirt tail relative has done hours and hours of work. I just would like a bit of notice that my Dad existed.

Perhaps they aren't listing spouses, just a thought

Maybe not. Then again how did my brother and me get here?
