The Way I Make Iced Tea

I have a particular way I make iced tea and my husband and sons do tell me it is better than getting it out. I had received one of those Iced Tea Machines years back. I never thought that machine made strong enough tea, so I took the pitcher that was included with it and will pour water to the line of that pitcher and pour it into a tall pan. Then I add 16 tag less tea bags and 1/2 cup of sugar and bring it to a boil. After it boils for about 10 to 15 seconds, then I remove it from the heat to cool. When the tea is cool, then I remove the tea bags and pour the brewed tea back into the Mrs. Tea Pitcher and add water to the point where I think it is perfect. I ended up marking that perfect spot with a magic marker. Then the tea is ready. I always add a little bit more sugar to my glass. My husband thinks it is fine with out extra sugar. Recently, my husband bought some loose leaf green tea. I decided to do a combination of green tea and the black tea bags I use. I took one of those cheese cloth bags with the fine holes and put 6 tea spoons of the loose leaf green tea into it and then used 10 regular tea bags. This combination is just as good as the above combination using only black tea bags.

In the heat of the summer we usually make a lot of sun tea. It's fast and delicious. When I was coking I would make some brewed on the stove but thought you have more control over it the sun tea is a good option.

I do mine the old fashioned way and for us it works. I hardly ever order tea in restaurants since I don't think they are strong enough and I always have to ask for extra lemon.

There are a few restaurants that have good sweet iced tea, but some restaurants don't have good iced tea.

@LeaPea2417 The tea is flavorless. We were in Pigeon Forge and I asked the waitress at Harpoon Harry's how good is the tea...she said it is very good - and surprise - it was!

Sounds pretty good. I just bought tea at the store that you just mix with water as I don't have tools to make my own. Still good either way!

i used to always mix green tea with my black. don't use sugar, but fixed it similar when the sun'd not do the trick...minus the tea machine though.
