No Like,Only Comment

Some of my discussions have received more comments, but less likes.I think, some of those who liked my discussion left a comment below it,but forgot to click the 'like' button. Only likes don't yield any earnings. What about only comments?

What makes you say only a like doesn't contribute to your earnings?

@PhredWreck,Because,as I am told,we are paid here only if someone 'writes' to us.Please correct me if I have understood it wrong.

@else34 We are paid for people to interact with what we post...which includes reading a post as stated by the FAQ section...and 'liking' a post is interacting with it.

Maybe the person wanted to leave a comment but did not like your post. It is not compulsory for people to like posts. For example, I am commenting on your post, but I do not like it enough to press the like button.

@destry,Ok,but does it affect my earnings? Will only a comment sans like yield earnings?

@else34 The aim of this site, in my understanding is not about trying to maximize earnings, this is not a job. This site is a social interaction platform, that rewards users. Such pestering after every last cent is a turn off and other users will find it most annoying and are less likely to interact with some one who appears to be greedy and only here for "earnings."

@destry Sorry, dear friend.I know very well that Mylot is a site for social interaction, not a job.It was just my curiosity that made me ask experienced users whether only a like sans a comment contributes our earnings.I love this site, but let it be known to you very clearly that those who have joined the site and are curious about something, and not greedy or beggars. They just want to know their choicest site better. And it's not pestering if they ask such questions. It's not a turn off either.Let me make it very clear to you that I am here for fun,not for humble $10.I want to know my favourite site better, that's all.

I think you are just guessing. I don't think anybody knows what does and doesn't contribute to their bank

I like the things I read, unless I really don't like a post, which is rare, I comment a little less because sometimes I literally have nothing to say other than "dunno'

@Jessicalynnt,As far as I am concerned,I don't like the post if I don't have an idea or any knowledge about the topic. And if I like a discussion,I always leave a comment below.

@else34 Maybe or maybe not... Some of course do not have time to read the entire post especially it is too long to read for it will take time. So they just like it. On the other, when they read it from head to foot, now it is time for them to leave a comment.

@dodoazo Certainly, but I,for one, seldom read long posts.I have a very tight daily schedule that allows me no time to keep online for more than an hour or two. But,maybe,if I read long posts thoroughly and grasp them properly,I may end up commenting on them.

@else34 I have written about ways of reading effectively. If I have time I would discuss them here.

I always like and comment every post I read.. I have noticed that certain people never like posts though they comment.

@else34 Comments help give life to a discussion on a discussion site like this.. A like alone just kills a discussion.

@sofssu Logically too,if you like a discussion, you should describe what you liked in the discussion and if you have to say anything about it.

I usually hit like,I never skip liking a post then leave a comment if I have an idea to share of.We are paid if one likes our post, you can notice that when one likes a consecutive post of yours, comments and responses.

Does the 'like' always work here? On some sites it doesn't for some reason.
